New Orleans fishing guide Captain Ed Williams has been fishing these waters with his father since he was a small child growing up in St. Bernard Parish. He has seen first hand how this area has changed due to both hurricanes and erosion. Captain Ed uses his Masters Captain License and knowledge of this intricate system of bays, bayous, and canals as the Shell Beach captain of Tow Boat US.  Captain Ed has been a licensed captain for over 10 years and has grown the company to include some of the best captains in the area!

In addition Captain Ed has worked in the hospitality industry as a manager in both hotels and restaurants for over 12 years and has developed the highest standards for customer service. He is willing to go the extra mile to ensure every guests’ experience is one they will love and never forget. Along with hands-on experience, Captain Ed also earned an MBA with a concentration in Tourism. The Captain is willing to do whatever it takes to customize your next fishing adventure, which may include providing transportation, lodging, or allowing flexible hours for fishing or catering to people with special needs.

25 foot ShearWater Bay Boat

The current boat used by the owner is a 25 foot ShearWater bay boat, powered by a 300 horsepower outboard engine, making your trip on one of the largest and fastest boats in its class. This boat allows for access into the shallowest ponds for chasing reds or busting through rough seas going out to Breton Sound. This boat features a trolling motor, power pole, VHF radio, stereo system, radar You get to take advantage of the knowledge Captain Ed has about the fishing holes.and is rated by the coast guard for up to 9 people. All the other captains have similar length boats with 300 to 350 hp motors!
